| Minamitane (南種子町, Minamitane-chō) is a town located on Tanegashima, in Kumage District, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. As of June 2013, the town has an estimated population of 5,925 and a population density of 53.8 persons per km². The total area is 110.40 km². The headquarters of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency are located at the Tanegashima Space Center in Minamitane. |
