| Yoron (与論町, Yoron-chō) is a town located on Yoronjima, in Ōshima District, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. As of June 2013, the town has an estimated population of 5,263 and a population density of 257 persons per km². The total area is 20.49 km². | Yoronjima (japanisch 与論島) ist die südlichste Insel der japanischen Amami-Inseln, welche zur Präfektur Kagoshima gehören. Yoronjima hat eine Fläche von 20,49 km² bei einem Umfang von 23,7 km. Die höchste Erhebung erreicht 97,1 m. Im Westen der Insel befindet sich der Flughafen Yoron.[1] Yoronjima ist von Korallenriffen umgeben. Die Küstengebiete auf der Ostseite der Insel sind Teil des Amamiguntō-Nationalparks.[2] |
